PLATEKILL, N.Y. — Three Rochester men are being held after police say they found nearly three pounds of cocaine in their car.

The three men — 24-year old Edward Pearce, 19-year-old Ricardo E. Almenteros and 52-year old Ricardo Almenteros — are all charged with first degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

State police say they pulled the car over early Sunday morning on Route 87 in the Hudson Valley for an equipment violation.

Police say that's when they found the 2.8 pounds of cocaine.

The three are being held without bail.
