Brett Maring, who owns White Glove Waste & Recycling, has steadily been lining the streets of Baldwinsville with distinctive pink trash cans. He decided to start a local Pink Cart program to help support those he loved.

Maring replaces a regular garbage can and gives out a heavy-duty pink one for around $100. Five dollars from every trash can goes to the American Cancer Society.

He says so far, he has raised $12,000.

"My aunt had breast cancer growing up. And my wife’s aunt was just diagnosed. Everyone knows someone that’s been affected by breast cancer," said Maring.
