A Ghent man is facing felony DWI charges after authorities say he hit a car driven by the Columbia County district attorney.

The sheriff's office says 62-year-old Bruce Nooney was pulling out of a driveway on Route 66 near Metz road in Ghent, when he struck DA Paul Czajka's Volvo.

Authorities say Nooney struck the driver’s side of the DA's car, which caused Czajka to skid into another lane and hit a rock wall.

Nooney was arrested and charged with felony DWI since he had a prior conviction within the past 10 years.

He's expected to be arraigned in Ghent Town Court on a later date.
