A hungry thief is caught on camera ripping off a string of fast food restaurants in the Bronx. Now police need your help identifying him. NY1's Clodagh McGowan has more in this Crime Stoppers report, a story you'll only see on NY1.

It's just before 9 p.m. on Election Day. A man walks into the McDonalds on Boston Road and orders an apple pie. Once the cashier hands him a bag and opens the register, he lunges across the counter grabbing the employee with one hand and simulating a gun with the other.

"He's threatening that he's going to shoot them, that he has a gun,' said NYPD Officer Jose Gordian. "He hasn't displayed one yet."

Officer Jose Gordian is heading the investigation for the Bronx Robbery Squad.

He says the bandit was startled when another McDonalds employee threw sweet and sour sauce at him, but he still got away with $300.

And this McDonald's was not his only stop.

"It's all fast food restaurants,' said Gordian. "He does the same thing in every place, he orders something and then he jumps over the counter when the cash register opens."

On Sunday, November 5th he hit a Dunkin Donuts on Southern Boulevard again pretending to order and simulating a weapon in his pocket, he was able to snatch $250 from the register.

The next night, he robbed a Little Caesar's , grabbing the 16 year-old employee by her shirt as she handed over $200. He forced her to open a second register, once she can't, he flees.

He also tried to rob another Dunkin Donuts on Election Day, but was unsuccessful.

"Eventually he's going to hurt somebody seriously," said Gordian.

Officer Gordian says the suspect seems to be targetting fast food restaurants closest to the subway, so he can make a quick getaway.

"He has a distinct limp, it's really pronounced," said Gordian.

Officer Gordian says his clothing is also distinct. He's worn a green sweatshirt in two incidents, a bomber jacket with multiple patches in another and a blue baseball cap with an expletive in another.
