The teen arrested at the U.S.-Canadian border that was accused of killing his grandmother appeared in court in Jacksonville Wednesday morning.

Logan Mott, 15, is charged with second-degree murder and theft of a vehicle, and is expected to plead not guilty to those charges.

Mott was extradited back to Florida Tuesday.

He's accused of killing his 53-year-old grandmother, Kristina French, just before Thanksgiving. Her body was found in a shallow grave in Mott's backyard.

He is being held without bail, and is expected back in court December 18.
