Skies cleared and we saw lots of sunshine on Sunday but with that "Sunday sun," with cold air over central North Carolina, we saw chilly daytime highs.

We'll see clear conditions through the rest of the night and with the clear skies temperatures will be cold, running below average across the region for the early part of December.

After a cold start on Monday morning, look for a milder day by Monday afternoon.  Highs will still be below average as we start the new week but at least they'll be warmer than they were on Sunday.  Another mild day is in the forecast for Tuesday with a few more clouds.

Late Tuesday and into Tuesday night, another push of cold air will race into the state.  This will set the stage for another round of colder temperatures for mid-week.
