Eli Manning's time on the bench did not last long.

The two-time Super Bowl MVP was back under center for the New York Giants on Sunday as Big Blue lost to the Dallas Cowboys, 30-10.

Manning went 31-46 with 228 passing yards, 1 touchdown, and 2 interceptions.

Then-Head Coach Ben McAdoo benched Manning, 36, last Sunday ahead of New York's game against the Oakland Raiders, opting for former Jets quarterback Geno Smith.

The next day, following the Giants' 24-17 loss and widespread scrutiny for how the Giants handled Manning's benching, McAdoo and General Manager Jerry Reese were fired.

Steve Spagnuolo made his debut as interim head coach, with the Giants 2-11 this season and the future still very much in doubt.

Manning has said he intends to play in the 2018 season, but many expect the Giants to move on from their franchise star and possibly draft a quarterback in the offseason

Before Manning was benched last week, he had started 210 consecutive games, the second-longest streak for a quarterback in NFL history.
