NORTH CAROLINA -- Do you feel safe in your city?

SafeHome.Org has released its ranking of the top 25 safest cities in North Carolina.   

According to their list, Holly Springs is the safest city in the Tar Heel State with a low violent crime rate and only 3.7 percent of the population under the poverty line. Cary came in second while Cornelius and Huntersville took third and fourth places.

7. Matthews

9. Concord

10. New Bern

Several factors are considered when ranking the cities such as crime trends, population, the unemployment rate and education, to name a few.
