CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. -- A Cumberland County couple is facing charges after accusations that they beat and bit their two children.

Natasha Forrest and Tevin McDonald were charged Tuesday with two counts of intentional child abuse inflicting serious injury.

Authorities say the abuse happened over the course of two years. 

Warrants say the children, ages four and six, had human bite marks on their bodies. Additionally, both children were underweight and suffered "Mental and emotional long-term consequences as a result of ongoing abuse".

Forrest's bond was set at $250,000 and McDonald's was set at $100,000.
