IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — A tractor-trailer hit a power line to an apartment complex Tuesday morning in Irondequoit.

It happened at Ivy Ridge Apartments on Hudson Avenue around 9:45 a.m.

The fire department says the truck snapped a low hanging power line and knocked out power to one of the buildings. No one was injured.

RG&E crews nearby stopped to coil up the damaged line and said its up the complex to make the final repair.

Residents who live in that building are hoping power is restored soon.

"I was sitting there watching TV and all of the sudden the power went out," said Ivy Ridge resident Lisa Felder. "We are going to the grocery store and hopefully the power will be restored by the time I get home."

Maintenance staff at the complex says an electrician is working on it.

No word yet on how long it will take to make the repair.
