Throughout the football season, one can imagine most pizzerias, like Cam's on Mt. Hope Avenue, generally see an influx of orders when the gridiron is in play. But Sunday’s game, however disappointing, was historic.

"You always look to the past to decide how busy it is going to be. How we did for last year's Super Bowl, that kind of thing,” said Carmelo Calascibetta, franchisor for Cam’s Pizzeria. “But this is a total different story, and this is Buffalo, they haven't made it to the playoffs for 17 years."

Football isn't the only factor either. Since the recent wave of cold weather, Cam's has seen more people calling audible for delivery of their pies. It's a trip that can be hazardous for any delivery person.

"It poses a little element of danger to our drivers, and other people on the road, so the bottom line is when people order delivery, we ask that they have a little more patience with us in terms of timing, to ensure safety,” said Calascibetta.

Whatever fans need to fuel their passion, there's plenty out there like wings, subs and Italian desserts too. But Cam's pizzas are a hot item, especially for their New York-style pizza.
