Two men were arrested Wednesday evening in connection to a car clipping a city police officer in Times Square on Saturday night.

Officials said earlier Wednesday that they wanted to question Arfhy Santos, 20, and William Lopez, 24.

Police said NYPD Officer Ian Wallace was on patrol and tried to stop a reckless driver Saturday night.

The officer is heard on video of the incident telling the driver to get out of the car after it stopped in front of him, but the car then clipped the officer and drove off towards 8th Ave.

Multiple officers, including the one who was clipped, chased after the sedan on foot but eventually lost track of it.

Officials said the officer the car clipped was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to his legs and back.

Investigators say Santos drove the car, which Lopez owns. Police said the men have criminal histories, and that Lopez drove the same car onto an Upper Manhattan sidewalk last Friday around 2 a.m.

Chief of Manhattan South Detectives William Aubry said Wednesday night that his detectives have not found the vehicle used in the incident, but were able to track down the suspects from the license plate using video from police department cameras in Times Square.

Charges are pending against the suspects.
