After a day of sunshine Sunday, the weather that western North Carolina endured most of last week will make a rebound Monday and stick around for the next several days -- warm with daily chances for showers.

High pressure sitting to the northeast of the region today will allow for a brief wedging scenario early Monday, resulting in a cloudy day with morning chances for showers.

Daytime highs should still top off to above average levels by Monday afternoon -- think upper 50s to low 60s -- but it will depend on just how long this wedge holds.

By late Monday, the wedge will begin eroding, allowing for the western Sandhill region to likely see some breaks in the cloud deck Monday evening. With plenty of moisture currently at the surface, the development of patchy to dense for will be possible Monday night into early Tuesday morning.

By Tuesday, a warm front will have lifted to the north of the Carolinas, leaving us with some very mild air in its wake. Temperatures will remain in the 70s in Charlotte for the next several days and be coupled with a daily chance for showers through the upcoming weekend.
