A new Siena Research Institute poll out Wednesady morning shows a majority of New Yorkers oppose a Constitutional Convention.

According to the poll, 57 percent of voters oppose the state holding the convention.

The Constitutional Convention comes up for a vote every 20 years.

On Election Day, voters will decide whether to have elected delegates consider changes to how the state is run.

The poll also says that 60 percent of voters believe that holding a convention will be too costly and a waste of time, as opposed to a once-a-generation chance to remake state government.

Meanwhile Gov. Andrew Cuomo's approval rating has fallen since last month, down to 52 percent.

Also, according to the poll, President Donald Trump's favorability rating among New Yorkers has improved slightly to 31 percent.

The poll of 814 likely voters was conducted October 25-29 and has a margin of error of 3.4 percentage points.
