A cold front made its way through the area early Saturday morning and left some brisk winds behind. Wind gusts in excess of 30mph were seen across the five boroughs, and a few locations to the north and east saw winds top 40mph. Temperatures also tumbled back to more seasonable levels after highs flirted with 60 for two straight days.

Sunday is looking cold and breezy again, but, the winds will not be as strong as they were on Saturday. However, be sure to dress in multiple layers if heading out during the early-morning hours; Temperatures are only expected be in the teens, and wind chill readings will be in the single digits.

Look for temperatures to remain on the cold side throughout most of the upcoming week. Afternoon highs will struggle to get out of the 30s. We could see some witry weather as well; Snow showers are possible on Tuesday and Wednesday.
