BUFFALO, N.Y. -- South Buffalo residents gathered in Cazenovia Park Thursday to rally around Henry King, who's truck was vandalized with racial slurs and curse words on Seminole Parkway last week.

Organizers say they wanted to send a message to the individual or individuals responsible.

"This isn't tolerated in our neighborhood. This is something we're going to fight back on. Mr. King is welcome here, everyone is welcome here," said resident Rick Bartolotta.

King wouldn't say much about the incident — only stating he was angry at the time — but is trying to move forward in a positive light.

"I'm going to embrace this," said King, of the rally. "Extremely grateful that people came out to show me their love, and let me know that I am home."
