Fresh Taste Bakery is an online Bakery that operates out of Hot Bread Kitchen in Harlem. Antwoin Gutierrez, who goes by the name Chef Fresh, started the bakery three years ago. He specializes in carrot cake cookies and gourmet cupcakes and delivers throughout the city and beyond.

Months after getting out of prison in 2011, he went to the DOE fund, a work training program, and discovered pastry arts. He went to work in some of the city's most prominent pastry establishments and then ventured out on his own. Now, he's teamed up with G-Free New York and Defy Ventures to make donations to frontline workers.

Chef fresh has also spoken to students at elementary schools in each borough and at Rikers Island explaining how to overcome obstacles.

“Just being an example of success, especially for the people who come from the same circumstances I come from," said Gutierrez, the founder of Fresh Taste Bakery and its executive pastry chef.

"I'm proudly out here knocking down doors, knocking down excuses, knocking down barriers and letting them know we can do it ourselves. There's no limits in life, that's the first step,” he said.

“I have had orders from as far away as Singapore, it's really inspiring. Since March I've been able to raise more than ten thousand dollars,” he said. “If you need a last minute gift, I can send you by email a custom one sheet and a bit of text which is perfect for printing at home, rolling up and presenting as a gift.”
